Simon Says: Add A Little Shimmer

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Animal Magic Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

ADD SOME SHIMMER

I think I was a magpie in a previous life because I have always been drawn to all that sparkles ;-)

We are showcasing Lindy's Gang Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used. The lovely people at Lindy's Gang sent all of the DT a parcel of samples to use, thank you so much, we really appreciate them! THANK YOU

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

Photographing shimmer is notoriously difficult so you will just have to take my word for it, it is so shimmery it sends your eyes funny ;-)

I blended Tumbled Glass Ink over a piece of Watercolor Paper and then spritzed and splattered with the 3 sprays. I love the watery shimmer they created.

I used the pigment powders to colour the seahorse and I have to say I am so impressed with the depth of colour, a little definitely goes a long way!

I found some cheesecloth and sprayed that with shimmer spray and also used the pigment powders to add some extra shimmer to the sponge and seashells.

I finished the inside too :-)

So now it's YOUR turn, Happy Crafting

Do you use Instagram ?  If so please add  #ssswchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too.

ABC Christmas 'M for Mice'

Did you know that there are only 185 days left to Christmas!! yes its true!! it's time to make a start on your cards if you ask me ;-)

This week on the ABC Christmas Challenge it's the lovely Sue's turn to host and the theme is

M for Mice

now I know you will all be expecting me to have used House Mouse stamps BUT as we are sponsored by my lovely friend Kelly Marie Alvarez, owner of Lawn Fawn, I thought it would be nice to use her cute little meeces instead ;-)

I used a Merry Christmouse set which was especially made for STAMPtember® 2015, so it is now unavailable, but Lawn Fawn do lots of other Christmas sets which are just as cute, CLICK HERE to see them ;-)

I used a Memory Box Script Christmas die which is also now discontinued, THIS is the updated version, which I prefer, so I am going to HAVE to buy that one now! Luckily I have  lovely new notepad to jot my crafty NEEDS into now so I won't forget to order ;-)

I coloured the little mouse and cheese tree with copic markers, I then masked the tree and used white embossing paste, lightly coloured with Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink and a Falling Stars Stencil to make the background.

I also made a goodie bag to go with the card, I am suspecting that something 'Pandora' will be popped in here closer to the day ;-)

Thanks for looking and thanks Kelly for sponsoring the challenge! ;-)

The lucky winner will receive a lovely stamp set AND a 6x6 paper pack of your choice! Woo Hoo!
