Simon Says: We Can See Clearly On The Monday Challenge!

newchallenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week the theme is

WE CAN SEE CLEARLY

Use acetate, vellum,  or anything you can think of that is a little transparent or you can use your imagination and think of a different meaning!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

I took the challenge theme quite literally and went with glasses and eye tests ;-)

I have recently been for an eye test and I have a cat who is blind in one eye, these things combined gave me the inspiration for this card.
As you have probably gathered that I love the Crazy Cats and I made his glasses using a Mini Bird Crazy and Things Die Set. The eye test and frame were printed and cut on a Silhouette Cameo. I distress the frame using Vintage Photo Ink and Powder to create a rusty look and texture.

So now it's YOUR turn, Happy Crafting

House Mouse 'Share A Sip'

Hi all, this week on the  House Mouse and Friends Challenge there is a fabulous blog hop. I am sitting this one out but there are fabulous prizes and lots of inspiration so you will need to hop on over to the Challenge Blog for more info ;-)

The theme is

USE A STENCIL
of course you must also use a House Mouse, Gruffie or Happy Hopper image and you can always choose the Anything Goes option.

The lovely peeps at Stampendous sent me a lovely Quatrefoil Dreamweaver Stencil and a tub of Glossy White Embossing Paste to use. For the background I blended a selection of Distress Inks, i.e. Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass and Squeezed Lemon through the stencil and then splattered with Dylusions Linen White and Black inks. When the inks were dry I used a Dot Fade Stencil and the embossing paste to create some more texture. I really love how the background turned out, very colourful and festive don't ya think? :-)

I used a super cute Stampendous Share A Sip House Mouse Cling Stamp, coloured with copic markers and then I painted the bird with Lindy's Gang Magical Powders oh my goodness, it looks like a real humming bird, the feathers are so beautifully shimmery!

Thanks for looking!
Now you need to CLICK HERE to hop on over to join in with the hop! :-)
